Activity 3: Plan an Earth Day celebration

4.1 Write a paragraph explaining how the first Earth Day came about. On what date
do we celebrate Earth Day? Explain how we celebrate Earth Day in South Africa.
4.2 Describe what you could do to celebrate Earth Day, showing how you could be
kinder to earth.
