It is with immense pleasure that I present before you the Class of 2024. The students of the 2024

The batch of 2024 has strived for the best during and after the COVID-19 lockdown period with
their zeal for learning and gaining the experiences of a worthy lawyer by not limiting their
endeavour within the four walls of the University. This batch's continued quality of performance
in national and international moot court competitions, seminars, conferences, sports, and cultural
events proves the value and effort we add to contemporary legal education in this country. Their
excellence has allowed the University to advance towards its excellence goal.
I firmly believe that our students, with their strong foundation of legal concepts and practical
experiences, shall be invaluable assets to any organisation. I welcome you, the prospective
recruiters, to visit the University and test this belief. The limitless potential and talent will convince
you of these determined, driven, and confident individuals who will immensely contribute to their
organisation. I would also like to take a moment to seek your invaluable suggestions so that the
future generation of this 'Temple of Learning' may be able to take advantage of your humble
guidance.
It gives me immense pleasure to introduce to you the Class of 2024. The Class of 2024 has
explored its potential by demonstrating extraordinary enthusiasm, dedication, and commitment.
During their stay at the University campus, beside being exposed to a rigorous curriculum in
law and allied disciplines, these students have also imbibed moral values and, therefore, look at
the socio-legal issues with a blend of pragmatic and ethical perspectives. Such a combination of
talent and ethics hardly goes unrewarded.
The students have spent their five years gaining practical experience through internships with
law firms, corporate institutions, reputed NGOs, public sector enterprises, and high-level
litigants. They have also brought laurels to the University through various activities including
conferences, moot courts, mediation competitions, sports, literary competitions and debates. I
am confident that the Class of 2024 will be fully capable of handling the difficulties and
complex professional duties that will arise in the future.
I cordially invite you and your prestigious organisation to participate in the recruitment process.
The brochure provides a detailed description of all the pertinent information for your kind

The Internship and Placement Committee is a student-run body working under the guidance of its faculty
advisors to help students achieve their true potential. The Committee works towards building new relationships
and fostering the existing ones with the corporate world by understanding its changing requirements and
matching them with the diverse individual aspirations of the students. It is an integral part of the University’s
education system and contributes by organising various personality development and awareness programs. It
works tirelessly to secure internships and placements for the students, which form an intrinsic part of law school
education.
Journal Committee
It is an essential part of legal education to think independently and pen them down in a manner that others may
have an insight into them. The Editorial team at the Journal Committee publishes two journals: RMLNLU Law
Review, currently running in its 13th Volume, and RMLNLU Journal on Communication, Media, Entertainment
and Technology Law, presently running in its 9th Volume. The Committee also runs the RMLNLU Law Review
Blog to encourage discourse on contemporary legal issues. It also conducts its annual flagship event, RML
International Legal Essary Writing Competition (RILEC) and other conferences. The Committee also runs the
online college magazine - The Lohiyan Post and conducts the Annual Intra Literary Fest - EOS.
The Moot Court Committee at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow, is an official
student-run body of members across the five batches of the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) program. It is entrusted with
the responsibility of administering mooting activities and events at the University. The Committee conducts an
annual Intra Moot Court Competition for allocating National Moots to interested students. The International
Moots, on the other hand, are allotted through Open Challenge Rounds. It also conducts several practice moots
for the freshers’ batch. In addition, the Committee organises orientations and demonstrative workshops, which
assist the student body in getting accustomed to the nuances of mooting.
Progress in legal scholarship and policy academia necessitates the exchange of dialogue upheld with compelling
oratory. The Debate and Discussion Committee has been cultivating an active culture of dialogue and discourse
within the University since its establishment in 2008. Foremost events organised yearly by the Committee
include its flagship tournament - the RML Parliamentary Debate, a legal-themed niche - The Alternative Debate,
and the National Hindi Debate; witnessing quality participation of students, scholars, and professionals from
across the nation and abroad. It also organises year-long intra-discussion and debating competitions, workshops,
and meet-ups to provide a platform for college students to develop, hone and retain their understanding and
skills.
The Legal Aid Committee of RMLNLU was set up in 2009 with a vision to promote legal and social awareness
among the sections of society that need it the most. To further its aims, the Committee undertakes various
projects such as the Legal Aid Camp, which seeks to help free legal aid and social welfare reach administratively
remote areas; LAC- Project Asha, which provides access to free legal assistance to undertrial prisoners; and
LAC-Shiksha, which works to fill education gaps within our country. Within its umbrella also falls the ADR
Cell, which organises all the ADR initiatives within the University, such as the Intra-University Client
Counselling and Negotiation-Mediation Competition, CLINEME. The ADR Cell conducts the University’s
premier ADR competition, the 2TG-RMLNLU International Mediation Competition. The Committee also
works with the University’s Legal Services Clinic to ensure access to legal awareness and fair representation for
all, and for the organisation of Legal Aid Camps.

The Sports Committee is responsible for choosing and training the students to represent the University at various
Inter College Sports events. Last year a contingent from our University was sent to NLIU for Inter College Sports
Fest ‘VIRUDHAKA’ and bagged the position of Second Runner Ups. Sports Committee organizes the Inter College
Annual Sports Fest - ‘AAVAHAN’, in which our University hosts various law schools and other universities from

through the events Panenka, Sahil Zaidi Memorial Volleyball Tournament, Claim the Hoop, Lohiya Premier League,
Battledore, Balls of Fury and Channi Sabharwal Memorial Tennis Tournament.
The Committee to Organise Seminars, Workshops, Extra-Murals, and Special Lectures, as its name suggests, has been
given the crucial responsibility of organising different types of Academic and Intellectual discussions primarily serving
Legal Academia. The Committee regularly organises educational activities in the form of special lectures, conferences
and seminars. Some of the events include a special lecture with Mr. Swapnil Tripathi on the topic 'The Idea of
Separation of Power and Indian Constitution'. In this session, the Committee organised a special panel discussion on
the 'Constitutional Law' theme with RMLNLU's faculty as speakers. Subsequently, in this academic year, the Committee
also organised 2nd Edition of its flagship event, the National Seminar on Law & Technology.
Another addition in the activities taken up by the Committee was a conference on the topic 'Institutional Arbitration in
India: Challenges and Comparison with the International Practices' which was organised in collaboration with SEAL
(Society for Excellence in Arbitration law). Further, the III Edition of the enthralling research paper presentation
competition 'Athena' had been organised to educate the fresher batch regarding the nuances of paper presentation and
academic writing.
Cultural Committee
The Cultural Committee, Tehzeeb, is the quintessential personification of Lucknow's culture and heritage. Tehzeeb
offers a creative space for students to indulge in and showcase their talents in front of all to see. With their
celebrations of Jashn-e-Rang, Bharatotsav, and western intra-college fest OHR, the Committee ensures students
pursue their art, culture, and musical passions. The four-day festival is the culmination of dazzling days and sparkling
nights and witnesses the participation of students from all across the country. The Committee also undertakes
Community Service Day every year to promote community spirit and do its part in contributing to the upliftment of
the lesser privileged in society.
MANTHAN
MANTHAN is the flagship event organised by the Internship &
Placement Committee annually, where leading experts from varied
fields like Corporate, Litigation, and Academia share their experience
on different career prospects with the students and help them
understand various aspects and areas of the legal world and help them
formulate their career plans accordingly. It brings together industry
icons and engages the students constantly with various competitions,
including Mock Personal Interviews, Group Discussions, Drafting
Competitions, and Online Assessment Tests. The event serves as a
forum where the Committee acts as a bridge between the student
community and the prospective recruiters, thus helping the students
choose a career option and equipping them for future challenges.
