COMMITTEES

important role as members of various committees and organisations. The committees comprise numerous
stakeholders, ranging from faculty heads, administrative staff, and student members, with each layer
contributing to attaining the committees’ objectives. The students and peers organise all the activities and

RECRUITMENT PROCESS
The Recruitment Process is conducted by the Internship and Placement Committee of the University. It is
a holistic process that commences in July and aims to facilitate the reach between graduating students and
prospective recruiters. The recruitment process is governed by the Recruitment Process Rules, which
outline the duties and responsibilities of the Placement Cell, the students, and the Prospective Recruiters.
These rules expedite the procedure to ensure optimal flexibility for the students and the recruiters.

The recruiters are encouraged to conduct pre-placement talks highlighting crucial principle features of
their organisation, job profile, terms and conditions of employment, remuneration, and other relevant
information. The recruiters are urged to indicate their preferred dates for such talks to the Placement Cell
either by e-mail or telephonic communication a week prior to their arrival.

In furtherance of the process, the organisations are requested to register themselves with the Placement
Committee with their preferred dates in the final placement schedule by filling out the recruitment form.
The recruiters are at liberty to determine their eligibility criteria and the policy for the screening and
recruitment process. Organisations can also opt for telephonic interviews and interviews via
videoconferencing, and the Placement Committee shall facilitate their process as and when required. In
case the recruiters do not want to conduct a pre-interview screening, the CVs of the interested and eligible
students shall be forwarded to them before the final interview. The Placement Committee ensures that the
last recruitments are conducted fairly and transparently to maximise the interest of both the students and
the recruiters.
