One of the longstanding traditions of the Colegio de San Juan de Letran is its participation in the festivities of La
Naval de Manila at the Santo Domingo Church in Quezon City. This has been particularly expressed in the Annual
Institutional Mass on the Thursday before the Sunday of La Naval feast day which is attended by the entire Letran
Community and the accompanying of the carroza of our alumnus saint San Vicente Liem de la Paz at the 4:00 PM
Grand Procession.
For a fruitful and orderly participation in both institutional activities, the following reminders are hereby stipulated for
the guidance of everyone:

NOVENA MASS
(9:00 am and 10:30 am; THURSDAY, OCTOBER 05, 2023)

▪ The complete school uniform is to be worn.


▪ Attendance is to be checked by:
✓ Program Chair / Coordinators and Faculty Advisers for the students
✓ Department Heads for their respective staff & personnel
✓ Those tasked to check the attendance should take their places in the church with the groups assigned to
them to monitor their behavior

▪ Kindly refer to the following seat plans (inside the church) for the guidance of the entire Letran Community:

AT THE GRAND PROCESSION


(4:00 PM; SUNDAY, OCTOBER 08, 2023)

▪ Assembly is at 2:00 PM along Sto. Domingo Ave. and M.J. Cuenco Street at the side of UST Angelicum
College. At 3:00 PM, we shall occupy both sides of Sto.Domingo Avenue.

▪ The Procession Route is as follows:

▪ All Letranites are to wear the CSJL Blue Shirt, jeans and rubber shoes,
Hence, the following are prohibited:

✓ Walking shorts/ short shorts/ jerseys


✓ Mini-skirts and skirts with slits up to the upper thighs
✓ Sandos or tank tops; sleeveless, backless, strapless, and see-through blouses
✓ Slippers and rubber sandals
▪ Essential items to bring are: rosaries, candles, bottled water, raincoats, umbrellas, and extra t-shirts.
▪ Attendance will be checked following the procedure of the La Naval Mass (see previous page)
▪ Misbehavior during the Procession will be sanctioned according to the corresponding student handbook or
manual of policies.
▪ The Letran Community shall accompany the carroza of St. Vincent Liem de la Paz, Alumnus of the Colegio,
Carroza No. 6. After the carroza of San Francisco de Capillas, OP, the first half of Letran community
(see Order below) shall immediately follow.
