Learning Targets

✓ I can practice grouping sets,
comparing quantities, writing my
numbers to 10, and subitizing!
There’s a lot going on in math. We
started Topic 3 this week in our math
program!
UPCOMING EVENTS
Next week our sight word will be and. We will learn to write the
letters Ll/Dd/Ff and learn their sounds! We continue to track words as we
read and recognize the first sound in a word. Keep the paper books that
come home in a special spot and practice nightly! We will wrap up
Unit 3 of our reading program and learn about toys our friends prefer and
practice interviewing our friends! This should be so fun!
In writing we are focusing on letter formation, spaces in between
our writing, using an uppercase letter for the beginning of a sentence and
the word “I”, and labeling our pictures.
In Math we will continue in Topic 3 which teaches about number
sense with numbers 6-10, including writing our numbers, recognizing
sets, and greater and lesser quantities.
In Science we will learn about bats including what they look like,
how they find food, what they eat, how and where they sleep, and about
their babies. We’ll also integrate literacy and write some “batty rhymes”
and make fun fiction bats that are different colors!

Nov. on Veteran’s Day! Please email me their name
and address and sshhhh, don’t tell! We’ll send them a
surprise!
