CLIMATE CHANGE ; The green house effect

WHAT IS GREEN HOUSE EFFECT?

The greenhouse effect is the way in which heat is trapped close to Earth's surface by “greenhouse gases.”
These heat-trapping gases can be thought of as a blanket wrapped around Earth, keeping the planet
toastier than it would be without them.

TO KNOW MORE ABOUT GREEN HOUSE EFFECT, LET US FIRST INTRODUCE TO YOU WHAT IS GREEN
HOUSE EFFECT AND WHAT IS THE CAUSES OF IT.

Scientists agree that global warming is caused mainly by human activity. Specifically, the evidence shows
that certain heat-trapping gases, such as carbon dioxide, are warming the world—and that we release
those gases when we burn fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas.

One of the causes of the green house effect is what we humans do, for example burning fossil fuels and
cutting tree's.

WHAT IS FOSSIL FUELS?

the burning of oil, natural gas, and coal to generate energy. We use this energy to generate electricity,
and to power transportation (for example, cars and planes) and industrial processes.

When fossil fuels are burned, they release nitrogen oxides into the atmosphere, which contribute to the
formation of smog and acid rain. The most common nitrogen-related compounds emitted into the air by
human activities are collectively referred to as nitrogen oxides.

HOW DOES GREEN HOUSE EFFECT AFFECT OUR COMMUNITY?

The flooding of coastal cities, the desertification of fertile areas, the melting of glacial masses and the
proliferation of devastating hurricanes are just some of the main consequences.

HOW DOES GREENHOUSE GASES AFFECT THE COMMUNITY?

This change in concentrations causes warming and is affecting various aspects of climate, including
surface air and ocean temperatures, precipitation, and sea levels. Human health, agriculture, water
resources, forests, wildlife, and coastal areas are all vulnerable to climate change.
