Activities since January 2022

Our activities since January has been constant. The activities consist of going out for evangelism at least
Four times every (Saturday evening from 5-7pm). month. And God has used our outings to brings many
to Christ. As men rededicate their lives to Christ and also give their lives to Jesus Christ during our
evangelism. We also have records of backsliders that God has used us to bring back to Christ and to their
various churches.

We also started what we termed “individual evangelism” around May. The whole evangelism team was
divided into four groups and only two groups will be involved in evangelism every week. So if group A
and B goes out for evangelism this week group C and D will go out next week.

Since February also, we’ve been having prayer meeting every Wednesday to Thursday nights from 12 to
1 am.

We were also able to get megaphone in the course of this year.

Problems

1. Our first problem is lack of commitments from the members. Only few people are committed to
our evangelism outreach. Even our online vigil only few people 3-4 people are committed
despite that it’s online and not physical. And the individual evangelism we started also – the
team members have not been committed.
2. Another problem we have is funding. Ever since we bought our megaphone. The members have
stopped contributing our monthly contributions of #500. And we have many needs and things to
buy. Even getting battery to put in the microphones for preaching has been difficult for us. And
because there’s no money (transport money), we can’t go to other places aside the church
environs. We also need to get mic stand.
3. Another problem is few membership. We have few members and this has hindered us a lot. We
don’t even have any female among us. The eleven of us are all male. More members means
more people will turn up for evangelism. More members also means more funds. More
members translates to effectiveness. So one of the reasons we’ve been less effective as we
ought to is because of our membership strength.

Solutions

1. The solution I will proffer for the first problem (lack of commitment) is that rules should be
made that will be guiding the group. Rules like: fine for missing the group activities. The fine can
be in form of money, personal evangelism, or even suspension from the group. I will need
permission from our Pastor to set these rules.
2. I will suggest that our Pastor should address the evangelism team member concerning their
commitment towards paying up the dues and towards the group activities.
3. And lastly the workers and church members should be encourage to join the evangelism team.
As the command to go into all the world and preach the gospel was given to all the followers of
Jesus and not just to some people.
