Position Title: Specialist Project Management Reporting to: Senior Manager Technical Projects

A. ROLE AND CONTEXT

Purpose:
This role is responsible for executing programs and projects
including rollout in IT and Network including prioritization of
programs / projects in the BU, in consultation with other
functions.
Functional Context:
The Technology Unit within Ooredoo is the backbone of the
organization providing all technology services which enable
Ooredoo to deliver its services to its customers across all
technology platforms, 24/7/365. In other words, it's
responsible for the management of all Ooredoo networks,
technology infrastructure/ platforms and processes to achieve
fast time-to-market, high operational efficiency, and support
product/ service innovation, and ultimately drive the financial
performance of Ooredoo. The department supports the
Technology BU through project management of all programs
and projects in IT and Network and for managing the overall
delivery of more complex change requests

B. ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Executes high complexity IT projects, large-scale Network programs and mega-projects in close coordination with relevant
teams.
• Conducts the analysis of project pipeline and recommend changes in project portfolio, if any, to technical teams and heads.
• Helps set selection criteria for new hires to be able to cope with complex and cross functional projects.
• Carries out a process for the identification and escalation of critical project issues and risks and resolution
recommendations.
• Helps identify recommendations to CTIO and division heads in Tech BU for prioritizing and managing the portfolio of
projects and investments; maintain priority of each project and communicate the same to relevant heads.
• Assists in the project design, RFQ preparation, vendor selection for all projects within each defined program.

E. EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Minimum Experience, Essential Knowledge &
Skills
8 years' experience in a similar role.
Experience with technical subjects and emerging
technologies in cloud computing or related
Minimum Entry Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Telecom or Electrical & Electronics Engineering or
Management
Preferred Certifications / Other Qualifications
Any Relevant Certification
