My own Contingency Plan

Section: 12-Queen of Heaven
A. First aid kit, Flashlight, Batteries, Portable radio, Water for each family member, Food in cans
and packages, enough for several days, plus a mechanical can opener.

B. Avoid touching exterior walls, windows, fireplaces, and hanging items. If you can’t get out of a
chair or bed, cover up with blankets and pillows to prevent falling objects from hurting you.

C. Cover your head and neck (and your entire body if possible) beneath a strong table or desk.
Locate an open space free of trees, telephone poles, and buildings.

D. Local governments designate big-area evacuation centers that can accommodate a significant
number of people. They will be used in case of major disasters including earthquakes. Large
open locations, such as large parks, public housing, and universities, are designated as broad
area evacuation sites.
