As we amplify our efforts towards the fulfilment of our commitment in th e

Phi11µpine Deveiopment Plan 2.023-2028 ( Outcome 2: Chapter 14 ), the Bantay-
Korapsyon (BK) Program will be conducting a capacity enhancement activity
entitled "Strengthening the Knowledge and Capacity of local
Sanggunian's Quasi-Judicial Functions".

This iS one of the major technical and capacity development assistance

:TA/ CAPDEV; being given under the EDUCATE Component of the BK program ,
which aims to inform and strengthen the Local Sanggunian 's knowledge on the
•,coµe of tJ1e1r quasi -judicial powers, such as , but not iimited tu , jurisdiclion.,
limitation s in the exercise of said power, issuance of subpoena , reception of
e vidence, conduct of hearing, and resolution of controversies . It emphasizes on
the rnlc of the loca! sanggun!an 1n handling administrative cases, and in the
process enable LGUs to provide a platform for citizen's engagement on
transparency and accountab111ty mechanisms .
