A college education should be free

When people talk about going to college, the first thing that comes to their mind is tuition.
Sometimes, it inadvertently brings a lot of pressure to students and their families. Therefore,
many people assume that college should be free for all. In our opinion, we completely agree
with this statement. That is for the following four reasons.

Democracies are often leaders in all fields. There is no denying that civic education is
essential to the development of democracy. Educated citizens have the ability to think
critically and create more than ordinary people. Especially university students, they are
enriched with knowledge and trained to be ready for future jobs. Moreover, education is a
prerequisite for sustainable and long-term national development. Therefore, I think that
college education should be free. That will promote self-study and creates the ability for good
students who cannot afford to go to school and return to contribute to the country.

In college every year students have to pay a lot of tuition fees but with today's democracy
most universities increase tuition fees by ~10%/year so burden of tuition is increasing for
students who don't have scholarships or families with economic difficulties have to borrow.
money to go to college. I think being in debt for a substantial amount of money during four
years of college is a big challenge because not everyone can find a job with a high enough
salary upon graduation to be able to pay off the debt. This makes many people think about
whether to go to college or not.

Furthermore, a few thriving countries have made higher education free. Essentially, they
comprehend the benefits of a debt-free education. As a result, they established tuition-free
universities. When students are not worried about money, they can focus better on their
studies. Even when students have loans and financial aid, they may find themselves stuck
worrying about how they will have to pay them back in the future. This increased tension
may interfere with their capacity to concentrate while they are meant to be studying. Free
higher education can contribute to the economic growth and prosperity of countries by
increasing the highly qualified workforce. In fact, the more people can attend college for free,
the more trained and expanded the professional workforce will be. It is the driving force that
inspires more students to achieve higher degrees. In addition, free education provides new
opportunities for poor students without worrying about financial problems. I believe that
students who have access to free education are potential workers who can contribute to the
local economic development in the future.

As we explained above, we completely agree that college tuition should be free because of
many benefits it offers. Students have more opportunities to study further without worrying
about tuition debt. In addition, free tuition creates good conditions for talented people who
can contribute to the development of their country, even more.
