I. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Student Internship Program (SIP) of the Philippines (SIPP) is the name given
to on-the-job training (OJT) by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and they
released a memorandum order No. 104 series of 2017 with the subject "Revised
Guidelines for Student Internship Program in the Philippines (SIPP) for all programs”
which covers the improved version of guidelines and compliance of all concerned to do
an internship to their chosen company. The Memo ensures that learning and exposure are
of a high caliber and or to improve a high quality education. For employment, it equips

Practicum program allows students to apply what they have learned in their
course to a real-world setting, and they are able to learn and practice about their chosen
career or future profession during their training. The program gives students a place to
acquire new skills and improve on those they already have. It is also seen as a final exam,
a chance to determine whether the student is prepared for practice outside of the
classroom.
As per CMO-17 S02017 for BSBA, at the end of the program, the students are
staffing, directing and controlling. They will able to select the proper decision-making
tools to critically, analytically and creatively solve problems and drive results. They will
express themselves clearly and communicate effectively with stakeholders both in oral

required by the business environment. They will learned how to work effectively with
other stakeholders and manage conflict in the work place also, they can exercise high

III. TRAINING
Hours Worked
to 8 hours a day of work for 67 days. They were both assigned to the Human Resource
Management Section under the supervision of Ms. Madel P. Angeles, the Acting Chief of
HRMS. The office hours of the company is 8:00 A.M to 5:00 P.M. The trainees started
their on-the-job training on February 15, 2023, and ended on different dates due to their
absences caused by unwanted sickness. Ms. Annika ended on June 5, 2023, while Ms.
Monica ended on May 31, 2023. The trainees earned the required hours of internship by
extending days of internship and rendered overtime during office hours. The total hours
earned by the trainees are 523.44 for Ms. Annika Tagle while 521.14 for Ms. Monica
Tayras which meet the 520 hours required for internship. The trainees were provided with
a Daily Time Record (DTR) placed in the lobby of the Administrative Division to keep
an eye on their hours acquired on a daily basis. Every month, they give the DTR to the
diary to list their daily accomplished tasks with their 8 hours of work. During their first
day of OJT, the trainees were oriented about the company's history, rules and regulations,
IMS policy, PhilMech CREDO, and introduced to all the heads of each division. They
also brief them on the possible tasks they will perform regarding human resource-related
activities.

Tasks Performed
The trainees were under the supervision of Acting Section Chief, Administrative
Division, Human Resource Management Section, Ms. Madel Joy P. Angeles, for the
whole internship period, with acknowledgement to the Head of HRMS, Ms. Lovelle
Ramos. When all the employees under the Human Resource Management Section need
help, both of the student interns will extend their hands to help them. Proper guidance
and supervision are given to interns on every task assigned to them to avoid problems
inside the office. The Human Resource Management Section is under the Administrative
Divison which primarily incharged in employment process such as orienting the new-
employed persons, conducting trainings for employees and accomplishing the payroll
process.
Student-trainees are only tasked to receive phone calls whenever there is a chance
that there are no available employees at certain moment in the office. They are receiving
calls from different divisions and writing their concerns in a piece of paper for them to
transfer it to the authorized personnel in the office to answer when they call back
afterwards.

Personal Data Sheet of employees when they are tasked to update the personal

V. CONCLUSION
Since the pandemic started the trainees are based on online learning and it is only
the time that they returned on face-to-face which is their On-The-Job Training. The
trainees tried their best to put a good start and finished their internship considering of
some adjustments to adapt in a corporate world. The trainees achieved their objectives by
finishing their daily tasks in the office and completing the required hours of internship.
The knowledge and skills they gained from their course serve as their armor in
understanding and exploring the different office work which they also used in widening
their knowledge, work experience and enhance their skills in different areas. The student-
trainees applied what they have learned inside the classroom to real a world-setting. It is
indeed that they acquired new skills in terms of conceptual, interpersonal, and
technological skills during their on-the-job training and they were able to improve and
excel in what they already have. They were able to exercise their learnings in their past
