Here’s a little
insight into how we went about developing our answer.

From Task 1 we know that the top two scope 1 and 2 emissions for Fast Cars are electricity use in
manufacturing and onsite gas boilers. So we think this would be a good place to start when we look at
abatement measures.

After reading through all the materials provided, we determined the most appropriate measures. Our
model answer explains why we chose those measures and provides information as to why that might be
an important initiative to recommend to Fast Cars. Where we could, we used case studies to show how
the industry is already implementing some of these measures. The case studies help Fast Cars to see
what the industry is already doing.

It is important to take it to the next step. Now you have done all the research, what happens next? In our
model answer, we proposed to present our ideas to Fast Cars and to work with them to determine the
practicality of these initiatives. Now we are on track toward making a difference in their business
operations.
