HOMEWORK ACTIVITY
Dear student, make sure to follow the steps indicated in this activity, it is important for any
concern:

help you to develop the activity proposed here.
2. Contact your tutor, do it before the delivery date of your assignments arranged in
MOODLE, do not forget that no activity will be received or graded by mail.

APPLYING:
Make sentences with the ZERO conditional.
For example: (not / rain / the flowers / die)

If it doesn't rain, the flowers die.
1. (I / wake up late / I / be late for work) = I get to work late because I wake up late.
2. (my husband / cook / he / burn the food) = My husband, the cook, burns the food.
3. (Julie / not wear a hat / she / get sunstroke) = Julie didn't wear a hat, so she got
sunburned
4. (children / not eat well / they / not be healthy) = Children who don't eat well are not
healthy.
5. (you / mix water and electricity / you / get a shock) = If you mix water and electricity,
you can get shocked.

Make sentences with the FIRST conditional.


EX. If we GO (go) on holiday this summer, we WILL GO (go) to Spain.
1. If the weather _ (not / improve), we (not / have) a picnic. = If the weather doesn't
improve, we won't go to picnic
2. If I __ (not / go) to bed early, I __ (be) tired tomorrow. = If I don't go to bed early, I'll be
tired tomorrow.
3. If we ___ (eat) all this cake, we _ (feel) sick. 10. If you (not / want) to go out, I (cook)
dinner at home. = If we eat all this cake, we'll get sick. If you don't want to go out, I'll cook
dinner for you at home
4. I _ (come) early if you _ (want). = I'll come early if you want.
5. They __ (go) to the party if they ___ (be) invited. = They'll go to the party if they're
invited.
Make sentences with the SECOND conditional.
EX. If you HAD (have) a better job, we WOULD BE (be) able to buy a new car
1. If I _ (speak) perfect English, I _ (have) a good job. = If I spoke perfect English, I would
have a good job.
2. If we _ (live) in Mexico, I __ (speak) Spanish. = If we lived in Mexico, I would speak
Spanish.

could go to university.
4. She _ (be) happier if she (have) more friends. = She would be happier if she had more
friends.

stay here.

EX. If I HAD BEEN (be) born in a different country, I WOULD HAVE LEARNED
(learn) to speak a different language.
1. If she (go) to university, she (study) French. = If she had gone to university, she would
have studied French.
2. If we __ (not / go) to the party, we _ (not / meet) them. = If we hadn't gone to the party,
we wouldn't have met them.
3. If he (take) the job, he (not / go) travelling. = If he took the job, he wouldn't travel.
4. He _ (be) happier if he (stay) at home. = He would have been happier if he had stayed
home.
5. She (pass) the exam if she (study) harder. = She would have passed the exam if she had
studied more.
CREATING:
In this speaking activity, you will record AN AUDIO. Answer the questions below using
THIRD CONDITIONAL.

1. If you had more time this week, what would you have done? = If I had more time
this week I would have gone deeper into my English language studies

2. If you hadn’t started learning English, which language would you have chosen? = if
I had not learned English I would have chosen the French language

3. If you had chosen a different location for your last vacation, where would you have
picked? = If I had chosen a different place on my last vacation I would have chosen
Singapore

4. If there hadn’t been a pandemic, what would you have done during that time? = if
there had not been a pandemic I would have finished my university
