INTERNSHIP SEASON
2023-24
Timeline
FIRST STEP - REGISTRATION

• Registration on the Internship portal : https://campus.placements.iitb.ac.in/


• Only Registered Students will be able to take part in the internship season
• Deadline:1st October,2023
RESUME

• Resumes need to uploaded on the internship portal after registration


• Start working on your resumes and compile the proofs needed for
verification
• Resume verification protocols and guidelines are provided on the
internship blog. Please go through them and collect proofs accordingly
• Resume and Proofs Upload Deadline: 6th October, 2023
RESUME VERIFICATION

• Students need to upload pointers in the resume section tagging relevant authority
of the institute body for verification.
• Relevant documents for proof can be attached in the pointer in a single PDF.
• The statements should be identical to what is written in the resume
INTERNSHIP BLOG, WHATSAPP GROUPS, INSTIAPP

• These are the platforms where announcements are made


• The Internship Blog is the primary medium of making announcements about
IAF’s, Tests, Interview Schedules, Selections, etc.
• The Internship Blog is linked to InstiApp and can be accessed from there

HOW TO APPLY FOR A COMPANY
• Company/University registers with the PTCell to offer internship
• IAF (Internship Application Form) is opened
- which consists of Job Description, Stipend, Posting, Eligibility Criteria etc.
• The announcement for IAF opening is posted on the Internship blog (make it a habit
to check the blog frequently

• Go to the JOBS section on portal and sign the IAF with the relevant resume
• Once you sign the IAF, the companies shortlist the students and they need to
appear for any tests/GD/interviews. Updates regarding these will be on the blog
COMPANY CATEGORIES
• The internships offered are categorized into
• Industry (I) in Summer
• University (U) in Summer
• Winter (W)
• Industrial firms are further categorized into I1, I2, I3 and I4.
• Winter internships are categorized into W1 and W2
• Categorization of Organizations is based on the nature of organization, profile offered
by the firm, past relationship with IIT Bombay, student preference and stipend, etc.
• University internship also has University Program (UP) category.
• University program is a training program run by universities which invite students of
other universities to do internships and projects(eg. NTU-India Connect Program)
PENALTIES
• Suppose a student is selected for an internship but decides to ditch it, then there are somepenalties
imposed upon that student which will affect his/her final year placements

• An exhaustive list of scenarios and the corresponding penalties for them is given in the internship
policy; please go through it before registration

• Resume Margins:

• THE MARGIN ON TOP IS DEPENDENT ON THE QUALIFICATION DETAILS OF
THE APPLICANT. IT WILL BE DISPLAYED CORRECTLY AFTER YOU FILL YOUR
QUALIFICATION DETAILS.
