1. The Department of Education – Schools Division of Zamboanga del Sur, through the
Division PRAISE Committee, announces the 2023 Province-Wide Search for
Outstanding DepEd Employees and Other Searches.

2. The search is in line with the celebration of the 71st Araw ng Zamboanga del Sur
which aims to give special recognition to DepEd employees who manifest profound
commitment, exemplary competence, and remarkable dedication to their work.

3. The following are the categories for this year’s search:

d. Outstanding Education Program Supervisor
e. Outstanding Public Schools District Supervisor
f. Outstanding Non-Teaching Personnel (School-Based)

4. All QUALCIs shall submit only one (1) nominee per category.

5. The screening committees in different levels shall be organized to assess and evaluate
the documents of the nominees and shall declare the winner.

The Division PRAISE Committee and its sub-committees as indicated in Office
Memorandum no. 38, s. 2023 shall review all the documents of QUALCI nominees,
and the EPS and PSDS categories.

6. The Division PRAISE Committee shall declare the winners and submit it to the
Province of Zamboanga del Sur.

7. The deadline for the submission of documents to the Schools Division Office (SDO)
shall be on September 4, 2023, Monday, before 5:00 p.m. via the Records Section
addressed to the PRAISE Committee. The Awarding Ceremony shall be on September
16, 2023, which shall be announced in a separate memorandum.

RULES AND MECHANICS

2023 Province-Wide Search for Outstanding DepEd Employees


and Other Searches

I. WHAT ARE THE AWARDS?

There are eight (8) categories to be awarded in the 2023 Province-Wide Search for
Outstanding DepEd Employees and Other Searches. The PRAISE Committee may revoke
an award should the winner be found to have committed falsification of documents
submitted or have been found guilty of any case that was pending during the search
period.

II. WHO ARE ELIGIBLE TO JOIN?

The nominee for the search category must meet the following qualification requirements:
1. Has a good reputation, known integrity, and moral principles in public service;
2. Has good human relations in the school/office and in the community;
3. A permanent employee or a Provincial Paid Teacher who meet the selection
criteria;
4. Has been rated at least “Very Satisfactory” in the last three (3) performance rating
period;
5. Has not been found guilty nor has any pending administrative or criminal offense.

III. WHO CAN NOMINATE?

The following can do the nomination:

For teachers, school-based non- School Head


teaching personnel, and local paid
teacher
For School Heads PSDS
For PSDS and EPS Functional Division Chief

IV. WHAT ARE THE PRIZES?

More than the certificate or plaque of recognition and cash prizes that wait for the
winners, the honor of being named as Outstanding Employee is truly beyond measure.

V. WHAT IS THE SEARCH METHODOLOGY?

Paper Screening shall include all supporting documents submitted to the School,
District, and QUALCI Search Committee which shall be evaluated using specific
criteria (see enclosure).

VI. WHAT ARE THE NECESSARY ATTACHMENTS?

Arrange the following attachments in the following order and label/tag for each
document:
• Personal Data Sheet
• Certification that the nominee has not been suspended or charged for any
administrative or criminal offense.
• Supporting documents following the specific criteria on Paper Screening.
Photocopies must be certified true and verified against the original by the
immediate superior of the nominee.

Score sheets indicating the results in the respective level shall also be attached.

RATING GUIDE FOR THE SEARCH OF


OUTSTANDING SCHOOL HEADS
(Head Teachers/Teachers-in-charge and Principals)

Outstanding School Head – It is granted to an individual or individuals who excelled


among peers, in this case, among teachers-in-charge of schools or school principals. As
this Search is set by the Provincial LGU, awards, certificates and other forms of incentives
will depend on the Provincial PRAISE Committee.
However, as these individuals will also be recognized in the SDO, cash awards of not less
than the amount provided under relevant existing laws shall be given to these individuals
plus a certificate of recognition or other forms of incentives as the committee may decide.
This Search is open to all qualified school heads—TIC and principal.

A. Performance Rating (At least VS for the last three rating periods) – 20 points
MOV: Copy of the OPCRF for the last three (3) years with approved ratings or
certification of the ratings released by AO V Zenaida E. Mago or her authorized
representative.

Computation: Add the three performance ratings divided by three to get the mean
performance rating
Mean Range: Follow the IPCR scoring range (Five as the highest possible rating)
Final Computation: Average rating/5 X 20 = Points

B. Outstanding Accomplishments – 15 points

peers, in this case, among Education Program Supervisors or Public Schools District
Supervisors. This Search is open to all qualified EPS and PSDS.

Certification of Rating for the last 3 years from AO V Mago

TIKTOK DANCE COMPETITION MECHANICS AND CRITERIA

A. MECHANICS:
1. The performance must be a minimum of 1.5 minutes to a maximum of 2 minutes only.
2. Choice of music is open.
3. The performer/s can use single, or remix music. Dancers may use costume or props.
4. Number of entry participants will range from a minimum of 3 and maximum of 5.
5. The theme shall focus on promoting the province of Zamboanga del Sur.

B. CRITERIA FOR JUDGING:


Choreography and style - 25%
Mastery - 25%
Difficulty of Steps / Synchronization -20%
Interpretation and clarity of the message of the dance -20%
Video presence (deportment/bearing/discipline) -10%
Total : 100%

C. RULES ON VIDEO
1. The camera position must be fixed with no zooming.
2. Performance must be shot in segments taken from the tourist spots of their choice
within the province, with minimal edits of any kind.
3.The camera lens should be positioned to get the full body shot of the dancers.
4.The venue should have ample natural lighting or lit for clean visibility of all dancers.
5. Each video must be a continuous still frame with a minimum of 720p resolution,
colored, whole body.

D. ELIGIBILITY OF PARTICIPANTS AND ELIMINATION ROUNDS


1. Districts shall form group entry with a minimum of 3 and maximum of 5 members who
are regular DepEd employees either be teaching , teaching-related, and non-teaching .
2. QUALCI Level elimination Rounds shall be conducted on August 31, 2023. The venue
shall be decided by the PSDSs comprising respective QUALCIs. PSDSs within QUALCIs shall
convene to discuss matters pertaining to the conduct of QUALCI Level elimination.
3. Respective QUALCIs has to invite judges who are inclined in Tiktok dancing.
4. The winner of the QUALCI elimination shall be the official entry of the QUALCI to the
division competition on September 16, 2023 that will be held at Pavilion Hall, Dao,
Pagadian City.
5. During the division level competition, the winning tiktok video from the 6 QUALCIs shall
be forwarded to the SDO on September 15, 2023 c/o ITO Chester Don E. Bayocot.
6.Physical presence of the group members in the tiktok dance video entry from respective
QUALCIs are hereby requested. Since the first top 3 winners will be performing live after
the proclamation of winners.

A. MECHANICS:
1. Open to all regular teaching and teaching-related personnel of this division.
2. Each district shall have one entry (solo or duo performance).
3. Contestants may showcase any talent.
4.Use of stunts and risky routines are strictly prohibited.
5.All performances must conform to the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public
Officials and Employees.
6. The performance shall focus on this year’s theme of the celebration.

B. CRITERIA FOR JUDGING:

Complexity (Degree of Difficulty) -40%
Uniqueness -20%
Over-all Performance -10%

1. Districts shall have its entry with a minimum of 1 and maximum of 2 members only
who are regular DepEd employees purely teaching and teaching-related.
2.Participants may employ back ups but the judges shall focus on the main performer only.
Performance of back ups is excluded in the judging.
2. QUALCI Level elimination Rounds shall be conducted on August 31, 2023. The venue
shall be decided by the PSDSs comprising respective QUALCIs. PSDSs within QUALCIs shall
convene to discuss matters pertaining to the conduct of QUALCI Level elimination.
3. Respective QUALCIs has to invite judges who are inclined in this contest category.
4. The winner of the QUALCI elimination shall be the official entry of the QUALCI to the
division competition on September 16, 2023, that will be held at Pavilion Hall, Dao,
Pagadian City.
5. During the division level competition, physical presence of the participants from
respective QUALCIs are hereby requested. Since, all of them will perform again for the
judges to choose the best based on their performance.
