Learning Task 1
Initial Research Problem: Some of the studies proved that moringa oleifera seed can be one of
the most used ingredients in water purification. But how more effective it is if carica papaya
seed put together with moringa seed?

1. I chose quantitative method for our research. It shows that this kind of method is more
on testing or experimenting and not just forming theories. This also includes more on
analysis and not just categorization on something.
2. The research method that suits on our research is the quantitative method. This method
would provide elements that is good and appropriate for our focus which is to test the
effectiveness of moringa and papaya seed in water purification. Our research also consists
of more numbers, graphs and tables than using words and paragraphs.
3. The specific steps that I expect in our research method is the performing the experiment
not just once but plenty of times. We should know how thick or thin the layer of seeds
and other ingredients that we need to use in order for us to come up with our goal in
purifying water.
4. Possible problems that I think we may encounter is the limited time allotted on making
our research. We may have difficulty on contacting our co-researchers because others
might not always online and available. especially in this time of new normal learning,
our time in meeting each other virtually and personally is only limited.
 5. I think we can prevent those problems by making a schedule where all the members are
available on that time in able for us to set clear details on making our study. And if the
problems happen, we should know other ways how to contact them such as knowing their
phone numbers.

Learning Task 2

1. The historical design is one of the designs that I'd like to work with. It involves gathering
historical data, and I want to study how things were done in the past and apply what I've
learned to present or future events.
2. The experimental design is the most suited design for our initial research interest. This
method allows you to alter one or more independent variables while observing their
impact on one or more dependent variables.
3. I am planning to execute my research design by finding trusted samples and resources
first. And having a background study on purifying water for us to be easier to do the
experimental design.

4. In experimental research design, we will define first our research question and variables
then design experimental treatment. After that, we will do the experiment. After
experimenting we will analyze the data and create findings.

5. As we carry out our research design, we may have face challenges in terms of:

A. Resources
- We might encounter some difficulties in finding material for our study because aside
from collecting the main materials which are the Carica papaya seed and moringa seed,
we should have other layers in our product of water purifying which are rocks, sand, and
fine sand. I think we may have a hard time finding those said materials
 B. Time
- We will surely have this kind of challenge, we are having difficulties scheduling our
meeting virtually and it is hard for us to set and assign the task for each member.

6. I can solve the problems that I anticipate by reaching out to friends whom I know have
trusted resources of research that has also historical design. I should also know how to
use my time wisely.
