Vatra Dornei
The organizers of the International Conference Romanian rural tourism in
international context. Present and prospects have the pleasure of inviting you to take part
at the 20th Edition which will be held in Vatra Dornei (Romania) on May 24-26, 2018.

The development of rural tourism in the last decades and the experience that
Romania has achieved in this area have drawn the attention of researchers and
academics from the country and from abroad and together with the managers of tourist
and agritourist guesthouses they attempt to provide solutions to the problems,
numerous and difficult, tourism is facing.

Hence, prestigious institutions in the ambit of Romanian scientific research and


professional training, such as Romanian Academy - Iaşi Branch – “Gh. Zane” IESR,
Romanian Academy – CE-MONT Vatra Dornei, NIRDT Bucharest, City Hall of Vatra
Dornei, NARECT - Branch of Bukovina, Euromontana, and GAER - Branch of Iaşi, taking
into consideration the requirements with which Romania has to comply as a Member
State of the EU and most specially the current national and global economic context, are
organizing the 20th Edition of the International Conference Romanian rural tourism in
international context. Present and prospects in order to bring together Romanian and
foreign academics and experts able to provide relevant solutions meant to aid the rural
tourism of Romania.

The conference will take place in a picturesque environment, emblem of Romania


- Vatra Dornei - a city in the historical region of Bukovina where tourism is a predilect
activity.

Notification of provisional acceptance: 15 March
Submission of final papers: 15 April

LANGUAGES
The use of English and Romanian is accepted for papers and presentations.

REGISTRATION
The registration fee is 50 euros per paper.
Discount of 25%:
› students;
› pensioners.
The registration fee includes attendance to the conference, accommodation (24-26
May), breakfasts, lunches and coffee breaks (25-26 May), the festive dinner (25 May),
and the field trip (26 May) for 1 author. The fee for any other participant, either author
(collective papers), or accompany person, is 50 euros.
In case of authors with multiple papers, the fee for the first paper is 50 euros and
there is another fee of 25 euros per each additional paper.
For a paper to be published, the fee(s) must be paid even if the author does not
attend the conference.

PUBLICATION
The authors take full responsibility for the content of their papers.
All accepted papers will be published as a special publication with a unique ISBN
number.
The maximum extent of a paper is 12 pages.

ACCOMMODATION & MEALS


Accommodation: 24-26 May, at the Agency of Mountain Area - CEFIDEC, 23 Runc
Street (former Runc chalet, facing Vînătorul Pension Hotel), Vatra Dornei. Only 50 places
available. No single rooms, only with 2 or 3 beds.
Breakfasts, lunches, coffee breaks, the festive dinner: 25-26 May
Field trip: 26 May
The Conference will be held at the Centre of Mountain Economy in Vatra Dornei, 49
Petreni Street.
