1 Synonyms (10 marks)


This is a multiple choice round wherein the participant has to select the correct answer from a
list of options provided.

There are 10 questions and each correct answer carries 1 mark.

The participant has to TYPE the correct anagram in the space provided.

There are 10 questions and each correct answer carries 1 mark.

3 Test Your Vocabulary (10 marks)


This is a multiple-choice round. The participant has to select the suitable word from the options
provided and fill in the blank to complete the sentence.

ORAL ROUNDS

4 Phonetics (10 marks)


This is a slide show. The phonetic script is displayed and three words are given. The participant
has to choose the correct option and pronounce the word correctly.

There are 10 questions and each correct answer carries 1 mark.


Each slide will be displayed for 10 seconds.

5 Spell The Word (10 marks) KNOCK-OUT ROUND


The participant is asked a word and has to spell it orally. This is a knockout round. If a word is spelt
incorrectly, then no further words are asked. The participant is not allowed to use a pen and paper
or write the spelling before giving the answer.

There are 10 words asked. Each correct answer carries 1 mark.
