We need an experienced Equity Research Associate to support the European Research desk
(Chemicals sector) of one of our strategic clients, a leading global investment bank based in US.

This position is part of Evalueserve Romania’s Financial Services division, Investment

Research line of business.

our clients engage with us on the following essential tasks and responsibilities:

• Assess the financial performance and strategy of companies in the European Chemicals
sector and form a view on the relative and absolute valuation of each company;
• Track news, events, and results for the of the companies under coverage;
• Monitor the worldwide industry;
• Build macros, employ advanced data analytics;
• Work on Financial Models – update historical numbers, build projections, and carry out
valuation;
• Assist in preparation of company profiles, newsletters, flash notes, earning notes, initiating
coverage reports;
• Prepare roadshow presentations;
• Handle ad-hoc research requests as per client requirements.

 What you bring to the role:
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance/Banking/Statistics/International Business;
• 3 or more years’ experience in equity research/investment banking/chemical industry/audit,
valuation;
• Knowledge of database tools, including Bloomberg, Reuters, FactSet, BlueMatrix and other
financial data platforms is a plus;
• Knowledge of VBA coding, Python coding is also a plus;
• Proficiency in English;
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Strong understanding of accounting concepts and ability to conduct financial analysis;
• Understanding of valuation methodologies;
• Creativity and out-of-the box thinking when building models/algorithms;
• Good financial writing skills (beyond factual reporting, such as company description);
• Well versed in building financial models with forecasting;
• Ability to meet deadlines whilst remaining flexible to prioritize urgent requests;
• Ability to build client relations;
• Ability to work independently.
