 Learn Basic Arabic in 15 Easy Lessons

This short course has been designed for those who can already
read Arabic script. It is divided into 15 lessons. Every lesson
consists of two and a half hours in the class and two and a half
hours homework. If the participants follow the instructions, attend
all of the classes, and do the allotted homework tasks, they will
In Sha' Allah be able to achieve the objectives of this course.

Framework of the Syllabus

Through this course, students will In Sha' Allah be able to:

1 . Gain the foundations for understanding the Arabic
language on an elementary level, in order to develop a
basic understanding of the meaning of the Qur'an in
Arabic,
2. Communicate in basic spoken Arabic, and be able to
construct sentences, and
3. Communicate with reasonable proficiency in everyday
situations and circumstances.

In each lesson, the following general pattern will be followed:

1. A theme will be introduced. The whole lesson will be based

around this theme.

2. A vocabulary will be introduced, consisting of nouns, verbs,

adjectives, participles, adverbs and so on.

3. Using this vocabulary, sentences will be constructed.

4. These sentences will be practised by the participants.

5. One or two important grammatical features will be

introduced.

6. Using this grammar, exercises will be done by the class.

 7. There will be homework which will be divided into 4 parts:

1) Exercises
2) True-or-False questions
3) Translations into Arabic
4) Translations into English
5) Questions to test the participant's knowledge

We pray to Almighty Allah that He makes all of the participants of

this course benefit from it. May He accept this humble contribution
in His Cause. May it benefit the Muslims, and may it become a
means of the teaching and preservation of the Language of AI­
Qur'an and of AI-Janna.h. And Allah alone is the One to grant
Tawfiq and He is the guide to the Right Way.
