Safe under the Shadows of the Almighty

Musical Skit
Reflection

[Insert introduction]
A greeting, how do you feel?

The musical skit mirrors our lives. The girl represents the human race-ourselves. As we begin
to explore and wander the world, we become curious on things that are new to our knowledge. We
want to try things and test them out without realizing that they can harm and hurt us. When pain
overpowers us, the Lord embraces us and safely secures us under His shadows or lilim.
Out from the countless points we can learn from the CYF Musical Skit, I can only share three
most important points that each of us should be reminded and do.

Healing, Hope, and Love. These three abstract things are what we always take for granted.
We sometimes lie about these things because we think it is for the best and we do not want to burden
others of our true feelings. We always say we are healed, but still heartbroken; We always believe there
is still hope, but easily give up when things don’t go our way; and and we know about love but
oftentimes fail to show it. In these challenging and trying times, where sufferings and negativities
continue to spread and dominate, we should always remember that we have a God who is greater than
anything. When pain overpowers us, the Lord embraces us and safely secure us under His shadows or
lilim. The musical skit is an eye-opener for us to reflect on the things that may have been forgotten.
Healing. Pag-ayo. Sige, mangutana, napasakitan na ba mo? Have you ever been wounded by
someone? Either physical or emotional? Sa unsang pamaagi man mo gipasakitan?
Have you been wounded by sin, rejection, loss, or betrayal that has cut you to your core?
Hope.
Love. Gugma. The greatest of all. John 3:16 For God "so loved" the world.... The main reason
nganu naa ta diri karon is tungod sa gugma sa Ginoo, and because of that we are also called to do the
same thing to our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, to love one another. 1 John 4:8 ika nga, “if you
do not love others as you love yourself, then you do not know God, for God is love.” Since we are His
children, our core should be Jesus Himself, which is love Himself. Magsugod gyud na sa atoang
kaugalingon. Because we cannot give what we do not have. Everything starts with the love within
ourselves and everything will follow. Time, forgiveness, and compassion sa matag usa. Kung tinood ta
nahigugma sa Diyos, maghatag ka ug higayon sa mga butang nga makapahalipay sa iyaha.
