The line graph indicates the quantity of emitting polluted air caused by 3 diverse

factors in the UK from 1990 to 2005.

Overall, all the air polution causes had a downward trend except transportation
remained stable during this period. Moreover, industry maked up the majority in
emitting polluted air while households were the small contribution to the air pollution.

First, the amount of total air pollutants declined from 1990 to 2005, plunging from
nearly 7 to nearly 5 million tonnes by 2005. In 1990, the industry accounted for
roughly 5.5 million tonnes of the whole. Nevertheless, this figure witnessed a
dramatically drop of 2 million tonnes from 1993 to 1996. This led to reach a plateau at
2 million tonnes.

At the begining time, the amount of households and transport just accounted for
approximately 1 million tonnes. In comparison, they were 6 times less than the
amount of industry. Households factor had a gradual drop, despite of slight
fluctuation during the period. In conclusion, compared to the other elements, the
figure of transportation remained steady at 0.8 million tonnes throughout the research
