Textile fiber have such an important part or involvement when it comes

to creating fabrics. There are two types of fiber; one is the man-made
fiber; two is the natural fiber. When it comes to man-made fiber, it is
made from chemical compounds such as nylon, rayon, polyester etc.
Natural fiber is made from natural sources such as plants or animal
sources.

Belonging as a natural sources, Talahib or also known as Saccharum


Spontaneum is a common grass that can usually see in farms or in other
areas. Common, coarse grass growing in open fields, usually of the
species Saccharum spontaneum (species), (WordSense Dictionary).
Talahib is a coarse, erect, perennial grass, usually more or less tufted,
with stout underground root stock, growing to a height of 1 to 3.5 meters,
(Stuartxchange.org). The general average lifespan of Talahib usually rates
at 74 years but in the year 2001, life expansion increased in 86 years. It
recorded higher than usually general public life expectancy, (Ancestry,
1997-2023). Traditionally used for making hats, brooms, baskets, walls
and even furniture, it has been used in Ayurveda as an astringent,
emollient, refrigerant, diuretic and many others, (Bartolome, 2013).

The purpose of this research is to probe that talahib has a fiber and it can
be use as economic bag. Additionally, Researchers aims to know the
durability and strength of talahib as an economic product.
