The diamonds can be formed because of the heat and

pressure by some volcanic eruptions (it causes carbon atoms to
crystalline forming diamonds). The closeness of these molecules
forms a rigid bond, therefore making the diamond hard, this is
according from the scientist. Based on the research of scientist,
Diamonds really takes long time for it to be formed, it takes billion
of years and that’s why diamonds are highly valued precious
stone. The process ranges from 1 billion years to 3.3 billion years
(same with the earth’s age). A lot of diamonds can be found area
that have volcanic activity because diamonds made up from heat
and intense pressure.
Diamond are very rare to be found because of its process. Like
what I said earlier, it ranges
billion years to be formed.
Graphite and Diamonds are
same in composition but
diamonds are more expensive
because of its rareness and
hardness due to strong covalent
bonds present in it. The structure of this two are different because
the structure of diamond is atoms are covalently bounded to four
other carbon atoms along four corners of regular tetrahedron (that
makes diamond harder) while in Graphite, carbon atoms are
bounded together in a flat layer by a strong covalent bond in a
regular hexagon.
Diamonds can be artificially made because of science and
technology. It takes to be process easily than to wait the natural
diamonds that takes billion years of process.
