Dear families,

In Year 2 this term and next term, we are exploring different habitats and finding out why certain
animals are better suited to their environment. We will be looking at oceans, forests, rainforests,
deserts and grasslands throughout the topic.

We would like to set you the challenge of creating one of the habitats above. We would like you to be
as creative as you like! You could use an old shoe box and create a shoebox diorama, you could
build the habitat out of lego or you could even use recyclable materials to construct your chosen
habitat.

We would like you to bring your creation into school for us to showcase in our Year 2 area. We are
excited to see what you create!
