Let’s Explore and find more about Seed.

Follow the given instruction and create your own Observation Sheet.

Procedure: -

1. To set up the experiment, take some seeds of same type and 5 cups/ bowl
or any other suitable container to grow your seeds.

1. Label Cup-1 as “Moist” …………Cup-2 as “Dark”,

Cup-3 as “Dry”, Cup-5 as “Cold”.….and……Cup-5 as “Wet”.

1. Place a folded tissue paper or cotton in all 5 containers.

1. Keep 6 bean/ gram seeds/ or any available seeds on the cotton/tissue


paper in all the 5 containers.

1. Keep the containers as mentioned in step 2.

Conditions

Cup-1, Moist Wet the cotton/ tissue and sprinkle water. Keep it in warm
place, such as in the kitchen.
Cup-2, Dark Wet the cotton/ tissue and sprinkle water. Keep it in a
dark place. (In your cupboard/ inside a shoebox)

Cup-3, Dry Do not wet the cotton. Keep in a warm place.

Cup-4, Cold Wet the cotton/ tissue and sprinkle water. Keep it inside
the freezer.

Cup-4, Wet Put enough water on the cotton so that water covers the
seeds. Place it in an airtight container.

Record your observations:-


Observe the changes in your seed and record in an A4 sheet.
