FRANK ANTHONY A. SANCHEZ.

BS CRIMINOLOGY 2 ND YEAR

LEARNINGS FROM THE SEMINAR

In the seminar which took place in Robinsons, I have learned about how

important digital and technological knowledge in terms of entrepreneurship and

business. Digital entrepreneurship can help us reform and advance business and help

us catch up to the trend and the continuing evolution of the world especially to the

technological evolution. I have also learned about different types of cybercrimes.

Cybercrimes are crimes committed in the cyberspace. Cybercrime law protects

businesses from online threats and ensures the security and safety in the digital

environment. There are 4 classification of core cybercrime offenses which are offenses

against CIA, computer-related offenses, content related offenses, and ICT enabled

cybercrime offenses and other offenses. CIA stands for confidentiality, integrity, and

availability. Offenses against CIA includes illegal access, illegal interception, data
interference, system interference, misuse of devices, and cyber-squatting. Computer-

related offenses includes fraud, forgery, and identity theft. Content related offenses

includes cybersex, child pornography, and cyber libel. The regional trail court has

jurisdiction over any violation of the provision of this act, including any violation

committed by a Filipino national regardless of the place of commission. The PNKPI is

the solution to the cybercrime. PNKPI stands for Philippine National Public Key

Infrastructure. In times of transactions, the PNKPI ensures that if people will apply to

them, they will not wait in long lines anymore because transactions can be done through

online. People can also make appointments in order to have smooth transactions online

and face to face. PNKPI also ensures the safety in online transactions and services by

online recognition through online signatures, barcodes, and QR codes. Those are all the

things I remembered and learned in the seminar.
