animals live is called environment. It
is the natural world where land, air,
water all together forms to support
life. The word environment derived
from the french word 'environs' which
means 'surroundings'.

Relationship between society and
environment
●
The relationship between society and
environment has been prevalent for thousands
of years. This long tenure has caused a
fluctuating impact on the environment stability.
Humans activity which are conducted as a
part of development or social welfare or
growth are affecting the ecological balance.
With rising luxuries in the society, we tend to
misuse the resources of environment, which is
actually disrupting the natural chain of the
environment.
Ecosystem
●
An ecosystem is a geographic area where
plants, animals, and other organisms, as well
as weather and landscape, work together to
form a bubble of life. Ecosystems contain
biotic or living, parts, as well as abiotic factors,
or nonliving parts. Biotic factors include plant,
animal, and other organisms.
Natural resources
●
Renewable resources: it includes the sources
of energy which can reused or regenerated.

Non- renewable resources: it includes the
resources which are limited and cannot be
recycled.
Types of substances
●
Biodegradable substances:- these are those
substances that get decomposed or decay on
its own by using natural agents and get mixed
in soil.
●
Non- biodegradable substances:- these are
those substances that don't get decomposed
or decay on its own and don't get mixed with
the soil.
Harmful effects of plastic
●
Plastic is non- biodegradable.
●
On burning plastic it releases some harmful
gases.
●
Heating food in plastic containers emits plastic
granules.
●
They are very harmful to our nature.
Natural resources conservation
●
Use water scarcely and wisely.
●
Abandon use of plastic.
●
Plant more and more trees.
●
Use alternative source of energy.

Recycle and reuse elements and products.
●
Create awareness among the masses about
the worth of natural resource.
