neighbourhoods and rich, luxurious ones. The city centre …………. fantastic. There
………….. huge skyscrapers, and big roundabouts. The largest and busiest roundabout
………….. the famous Colubus Circle. There was also an enormous traffic jam.
We went to Katie’s apartment to leave the luggage and rest a bit. It ……….. small and
cosy with a nice view of the park. I ………. (not) very tired so we went to see the
biggest fountain in New York. It ………… the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park.
There ……………. (not) many people in the park, because it …………. still early in the
morning.
Later we had lunch and were at some nice museums. In the evening we ………….. at
the world famous Times Square. There …………… hundreds of people, huge neon
lights, billboards and advertisements. And there …………… (not) any cars because it
