PROGRAM STUDI D3 TEKNIK ELEKTRONIKAPOLITEKNIK NEGERI BANDUNG

Semester 4 2020/2021
1. Tujuan Praktikum
- Know how to use the heat bar.
- Have produced a calibration curve showing the temperature distribution along the
bar.
- Recognize the terms thermal time constant and thermal conduction lag.

4. Langkah Percobaan
1. First, prepare the tools and the material that needed
2. Then, fill the calibration tank with a dose of ¾
3. Then, put the thermometer on the calibration tank that fill with water
4. Then, put the calibration tank on the heat bar (notch 12)
5. Then turn on the heat bar
6. Then, do the experiment, take a note of the temperature of thermometer every 2
minutes for the first 20 minutes
7. And from 20 minutes take a note of the temperature of thermometer every 5
minutes until the 50th minutes
8. Then fill the second calibration tank with a dose of ¾ , and put the second
calibration tank on the 20th notch
9. Then, take a note of every calibration tank until reach the steady temperature
10. Record on the table
11. Then, if the calibration tank already on the steady temperature, move the
calibration tank (from notch 20 to notch 18, and so on) until the second
calibration tank on the notch 14 and the fist calibration tank on the notch 2

6. Pertanyaan
18.1 What temperature pattern do you expect to be eventually established in
the bar when the heater is switched on ?
Answer : The pattern that I expect is the bar temperature near the heat
source will bigger then the temperature of bar far from heat source.
18.2 Will this pattern be established immediately upon switching on ?
Answer : No it will not, because the temperature of the bar heated by
conduction
18.3 Why are both these condition desirable ?
Answer : to find out the difference or temperature value between notch
1 and notch 2
18.4 How long did it take for the temperature to rise to within 1C of its final
steady value ? 45 minutes
18.5 How long did it take for the temperature to rise to a value ?
Answer : 2 minutes and 5 minutes
18.6 What is significant about these different times in relation to one
another ?
Answer : The longer the time given, the temperature will also increase
18.7 What explanations do you have for these results ?
Answer : to know the temperature in each notch will not instantly reach
the highest point of the given temperature, but will go through a
process of slowly increasing temperature

7. Kesimpulan
• Value of Temperature or Voltage Output Heater, with a change in a parameter if the
value is greater then the result will be a value of temperature and Output Voltage
will be greater too.
• % heater value is directly proportional to the temperature value.
• T he errors in the observations tend to be small.
