III. Procedure
A. Learning Activities
Good morning Class! Are you ready to listen? (Yes we are ready Teacher Lace!)
Before we will start everybody arrange your chair and pick up pieces of papers
under you seat.

When combining two ideas into one sentence, think how they are related
To each other. Then, choose a conjunction that will clearly show that relationship.
You have learned that related ideas or thoughts can be joined by the conjunctions and, or, and
but . Compound sentences are then built. Other conjunctions can also be used. This is to show a
clear and precise relationship between ideas or thoughts. FANBOYS (for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so)
When these conjunctions are used, another kind of sentence is built. This sentence is called a
complex sentence.
Complex sentences make connections between ideas by using subordinating conjunctions that
indicate:

A complex sentence is made up of two or more ideas combined using the said
conjunctions.
