How does the state become an avenue in promoting democratic and active citizenry?

In a democratic country, the state or the people serve as the vehicle for encouraging active
citizenship. Wherein. A democratic country has a governing structure in which the people have
the ability to participate in decision-making. Each democracy is distinct and operates in a
distinctive manner. Citizens in various democracies directly contribute to decision-making by
voting on legislation and policy ideas. Moreover, Active citizenship or engaged citizenship
refers to a citizen's active participation under a nation's law in discussing and educating
themselves in politics and society. It may also refer to an ideology advocated by organizations
and educational institutions that advocates that individuals, charitable organizations, and
businesses have certain roles and responsibilities to society and the environment. lastly, Active
citizens may engage in public advocacy and protest in order to bring about change in their
communities and for the greater good of the citizens.

How can you describe the ancient and modern states in terms of their structural politics
and government powers?

The ancient or traditional state focuses on legal, institutional, and descriptive issues that are
largely historical in nature. The civilization was also governed by legitimate systems such as
monarchy, which ruled by one, aristocracy, or ruled by the best individuals or a tiny privileged
class, and polity, which ruled by many. Although Aristotle, a Greek philosopher, opposes the
concept of democracy because he believes it is a corrupt type of government based on the
belief of majority rule, The majority, whether impoverished or wealthy, look out for their own
interests while ignoring the concerns of minorities. Furthermore, even after many years have
passed, the same framework governs society in the present world. The Philippines is a good
example; politics in the Philippines are ruled by a three-branch system of government. The
country is a democracy, with a president who is directly elected by the people and acts as the
country's head of state and administration.
