Pitter-Patter, sound of rain continued endlessly, Splash, sound of footsteps came and went, Nee Naw,
the sound of an ambulance receding further and further, leaving behind red raindrops.

Pitter-Patter Pull Thud

The door opened, admist the backdrop of heavy rain, then slammed shut as I staggered inside with shaky
step. I opened yet another door before throwing myself on the bed, stretching out my hand to grab the
bedsheets, clutching it close to my chest, seeking any warmth that still resided. A thought surface as my
mind descended into darkness.

“When rain pours, life goes after”

“Urg”
I struggled to open my eyelids as wave of drowsiness washed over me. Sound of bird chirping, signifying
that another day has begun. As bright sunlight hit my eyes, rousing my consicious awake. Then, a wave
of muscle pain, making my eyes shot open, I unintentionally let out a groan.

“Urg!”

My body felt heavy, as if it had been submerge in water for hours. The clothes clung to my skin stickily , it
felt extremely unpleasant, and so is the soaking wet bed beneath me.

“Uh! Not this again!”

I hurriedly jump off the bed and check the condition of myself, despite my body protesting in pain. My
hand and leg were throbbing in pain, my clothes are damped, my bed are drenched as if a bucket of
water had been dumped on it, and my body are dangerously close to catching a cold.

Swish Whoosh

Abruptly, the windows bursted open, bringing cold wind into the room. My body started shaking heavily
while I hastily carried my pain-ridden body over to lock the window.

“Phew, but dam! I-I-It’s too cold!”

Muttering these words to no one in particular, I swiftly took off my clothes and went to take a shower,
temporarily ignoring the mess of the bed. Well, it’s not like the problem is going to resolve itself even if I
continue to stare at it all day long.
