Expectations remain high for varsity football

e still have high expecta-
tions. We expect to win some
games,” Harrisonburg foot-
ball head coach Kyle Gillenwater said.
For Harrisonburg, coming off an 0-10
season, one could wonder what the expec-
tations are for this season. Even with back-
to-back-to-back seasons without a winning
record, the third year head coach in Kyle
Gillenwater has high expectations.
The statistics do not exactly favor the
Blue Streaks. Last season Max Preps
ranked the Blue Streaks as the 285th (out
of 350) best football team in Virginia. This
season the Blue Streaks are yet to score a
single point.
Dating back to November of 2021 the
Blue Streaks are currently in a 13 game
losing streak. During the Blue Streaks 13-

been outscored 462-90, the offense averag-
