Yearly Fit and Proper Declaration - 2023

Please be informed that the yearly Fit and Proper Declaration - 2023 is now available in ePartner
for members of agency to complete. The Fit and Proper Declaration is a requirement under
Principle 1 of the Market Conduct Risk Management Policy whereby every tied intermediary is
expected to be competent, honest, to have integrity and to be of sound financial standing.

Who Existing agents (all rank) contracted on or before 31 December 2022

When Must complete the Fit and Proper Declaration latest by 15 November 2023

The Yearly Fit and Proper and Declaration comprises of the following sections:

1) Personal Particulars Update and Declaration

You are required to review your personal particulars which are maintained with the Company
to ensure it is up to date and correct, if any information is inaccurate, or if any updates and/or
changes are required, please inform the Company through the following method: -

a) Submit the Amendment to/Updating of Agent’s Details Form (available in ePartner) with
supporting documents to the nearest branch office (for particulars other than contact
details); and

b) Update your contact details via ePartner > Application > Others > Agent Contact

We wish to draw your immediate attention and actions to update your own contact details with the
Company as stated in item 1) and please also do the same if there are any discrepancies in your
contact details with the Company.

2) Fit and Proper Declaration

You are required to answer ALL questions in this section. For any “Yes” answer, please provide
full details in the comments column.

3) Declaration confirming on the following items:
a) All particulars displayed in the Personal Particulars Section are complete and true;
b) You have read, understood and shall comply with the LIAM Code of Ethics and Conduct;
and Anti-Money laundering and Counter Financing of Terrorism (“AML/CFT”) Principles;
and Anti-Bribery and Corruption; and
c) You are at all times required to treat any information from and/or in relation to Great
Eastern Life Malaysia (GELM) and/or any policyholder and/or life assured as strictly
confidential. You have also read and understood the Personal Data Protection (“PDP”)
Notice for agents and give consent to GELM to the use of your personal information
including sensitive personal information as per the PDP Notice.

The Fit and Proper Declaration exercise will end on 15 November 2023. Please take note that your
agent account will be suspended if you do not complete the Fit and Proper Declaration by 15
November 2023.

Should you require additional information, feel free to contact your respective Agency Director
(AD) / Deputy Agency Director (DAD) / Assistant Agency Director (AAD).

Please be guided accordingly.
