It is widely argued that Physical Education has played a vital role in a student’s overall
development and has provided a variety of special opportunities for students. Many
individuals believe that this subject should be eliminated from the curriculum to allow
students to focus solely on academic subjects. In my opinion, I strongly disagree with
the statement, because it improves our physical and mental health.

On the one hand, engaging in Physical activities has numerous advantages for students.
To begin with, doing exercises regularly encourages people to have a healthy lifestyle,
helping people maintain physical fitness and avoid many diseases about weight. In
addition, Physical Education can teach us about the importance of teamwork or
solidarity in a group. These skills are not only vital in sports but also in many other
aspects of life, including academics.

Furthermore, if the government decided to neglect this subject from the curriculum,
the number of students in the world would only learn and learn, after that, they would
become bookworms. Moreover, in an increasingly fast-paced and demanding educational
environment, it is crucial to provide students with opportunities to take part in physical
activities, assisting them to recharge and maintain their mental well-being. Finally,
there are a lot of notions that joining in physical activities can cause academic
performance to decline. However, some researcher has shown physical ones can have a
positive impact on academic performance.

In conclusion, omitting Physical Education from the curriculum would be detrimental to

student’s overall development and well-being. The benefits of regular exercise give us
on physical health and academic performance can not be ignored.
