Advertisement for the position of Agriculture Officer

Ahmedabad based NGO Cohesion Foundation Trust (CFT) is looking for an AGRICULTURE OFFICER for
our work on Agriculture and empowering women farmers. Established since 2001, COHESION is
involved in implementing development programmes in the socio-economically poorer districts of
Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh. More information about us can be obtained from

Minimum educational qualification: Post-Graduate or Graduate in Agriculture with experience in
production and marketing aspects of Horticulture Development. (can be relaxed if relevant experience
is good)
Minimum Experience: 5 to 10 Years
Languages known: Gujarati essential and working knowledge of written and spoken English will be an
added advantage
Computer literacy: Working knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel) and Internet, Knowledge of ICT
tools in farming practices will be an added advantage
Minimum requirements:
 Experience in Sustainable Agriculture practices especially in Horticulture farming.
 Report writing and regular monitoring of the project
 The candidate applying for the position should be willing to travel within and outside the district
minimum 15 days in field (if selected for Ahmedabad)
 Should be able to work with the team based on overall plan given by the Project Coordinator
 Sensitivity to working with people and team from different social and economic background
 Working knowledge with women groups will be an added advantage
Reporting line: Reporting to Program Director
Place of Posting: Ahmedabad/Navsari
Salary: Minimum Rs. 35000/- (Depends on the experience and interview selection)
