 This week we are looking at simple machines.

 Please explain to your child that machines are things we use to make work easier
for us.
 Examples of simple machines are a hand sewing machine, a scissors, a needle and a
tv.
 These machines have different uses. For example,
 a scissors makes it easier for us to cut paper or cloths.
 Hand sewing machine is useful in that it helps us sew our clothes together
when they are torn
 A clock helps us to know what time it is.
 Show your child the picture below and ask them to name the simple machines in the
picture, kindly assist where there is need.
EXERCISE

Name the simple machines in the picture above and explain what they are used for.
