Lesson 13 – Grace

Grace in latin word “Gratia” in Christian theology the spontaneous, unmerited gift of the divine favour in
the salvation of sinners, and the divine influence operating in individuals for their regeneration and
sanctification.

God's grace is usually defined as undeserved favor. Grace cannot be earned; it is something that is freely
given. We count on God's grace and the bridge he built in our relationship with him.

Divine Grace - is a theological term present in many religions. It has been defined as the divine
influence which operates in humans to regenerate and sanctify, to inspire virtuous impulses, and to
impart strength to endure trial and resist temptation; and as an individual virtue or excellence of divine
origin.

5 types of Grace

SAVING GRACE
– the redeeming gace of God.
- the sudden intervention of God’s saving grace.
SANCTIFYING GRACE
- God's freely given presence and power to restore the fullness of God's image in which we are created.
Wesley talked about sanctification in terms of Christian perfection by which he means entire "holiness
of heart and life.”
STRENGHTHENING GRACE
- The grace that is in Jesus strengthens us because it is how we were saved in the first place (Ephesians
2:8-9)! It is our salvation. God supplied us faith in the beginning, so we can trust
SHARING GRACE
- Giving grace to another person is simply to forgive them, unconditionally, just as God forgave us
through Christ. "Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one
another.
SERVING GRACE
- Grace belongs to God. It is His loving favor that is extended to mankind in order to provide eternal
salvation from the penalty of our sin.

Lesson 14 – Honor you father and mother
4th Commandment – Honor your father and mother

The 10 commandments are a list of religious precepts that, according to passages


in Exodus and Deuteronomy, were divinely revealed to Moses by Yahweh and
engraved on two stone tablets. They are also called the Decalogue .

The fourth commandment says, “Honor your father and your mother, that your
days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you” (Exodus 20:12).
This commandment, and the blessing attached to it, are repeated throughout the
old and new testaments.

"Maundy" comes from the Latin word mandatum, or commandment, reflecting


Jesus' words "I give you a new commandment.

Lesson 15 – You shall not kill, You shall respect life


5th commandment – You shall not kill

The Ten Commandments, or the Decalogue, are a set of biblical principles relating
to ethics and worship

PRO-LIFE
- We believe that human life is sacred.
- We have duty to safeguard to protect and to promote it
- We have the duty to take care of our life. Indeed, the value of life is utmost
importance.
- We live the value of life when we take good care of our bodily health.

We value the lives of others when we respect their human dignity, when we
mean well to them, when we pray for their safety and protection and good
health, and when we avoid activities which can harm them.

Do you know the Mother Earth has life?


- According to a research, mother earth is in a state of ICU ( Intensive care unit).
What has gone wrong? What have we been doing to pour planet? What can we
do to save it?
- We have the right and responsibility in taking care of life. It is our duty to
protect, promote, preserve, and enhance life.
