    An MRI brain scan was performed on 30-year-old female Asia BIBI. Abnormal signals were seen in the frontoparietal and capsulganglionic regions bilaterally, as well as the periventricular white matter, consistent with demyelination or lacunar infarcts. The ventricles were dilated with prominent CSF spaces. No masses, hematomas, hydrocephalus or other abnormalities were detected. The impression was of multiple foci of demyelination or lacunar infarcts, as well as senile atrophic and small vessel ischemic changes inappropriate for the patient's age.

    MRI BRAIN PLAIN
    Multiplanar and multisequential MRI of the brain was performed without contrast.
    FINDINGS:-
    • Abnormal MR signals return from bilateral frontoparietal and
    capsuloganglionic regions which are low on T1w, high on T2w and FLAIR
    images.
    • Abnormal MR signals return from bilateral periventricular deep white matter
    which are low on T1w, high on T2w and FLAIR images.
    • Dilatation of ventricular chain with prominent extra axial CSF spaces.
    • No established intracranial hematoma is detected.
    • There is no hydrocephalus, mass effect or shift of midline structures.
    • No evidence of any solid enhancing mass lesion in the brain parenchyma.
    • Cerebellum, brainstem and CP angles appear unremarkable.
    • Bilateral vestibulocochlear nerve complexes appear normal.
    • Visualized paranasal sinuses and mastoid air cells are clear.
    • Visualized orbits show no mass lesion.
    • Visualized bony skeleton appears normal.
    IMPRESSION:-
    • Multiple foci of abnormal MR signals in bilateral frontoparietal and
    capsuloganglionic regions----foci of demyelination vs lacunar
    infarcts.MRI brain with DW suggesed
    • Senile atrophic changes of brain.
    • Small vessel ischemic changes of brain
    • these changes are inappropriate for age.
