Awareness Quick! What do I do??
The reporters will present 4 scenarios where quick decision-making is needed. The whole class will
decide on what the best option is to solve the problem in the given scenario. Each problem will be
multiple choice and the students’ answers will depend on the letter they choose for the scenario.
A. Move diagonally to your right
B. Move diagonally to your left
C. Stand up
D. Turn around
1. My teacher asked me “Daniel, did you do what I asked you to do?” however I forgot to do the
task because I had a meeting with my organization earlier. What do I say to my teacher?
A. “It's not my problem sir you should’ve done it yourself if it was important.”
B. “I could not do it sir because you did not give me clear instructions thus I was confused about
what to do.”
C. “I am sorry sir; I have not completed the task yet because I did not have any vacant time for the
reason I was attending a meeting with my organization earlier.”
D. “I forgor”
2. “Is this the first time you have experienced such pain?” My doctor asked however I could not
answer him honestly about the fact that I did indeed experience such pain multiple times
because my mother was beside me. I lied to my mother that it was the first time but if she were
to find out I lied, mother would yell at me for hiding such an urgent matter. “It could get worse
for who knows”, is what my mother would say. What should I do?
A. “Yeah, it’s the first time I experienced this.”
B. “HELP ME MY MOTHER HAS BEEN ABUSING ME!”

D. “No sir, I have experienced this multiple times before and I am sorry Mom for lying to
you.”
3. My mother told me how useless I am in life and that people only come up to me because of
what I can offer, not for who I am. This caused me to be distant from most people in my life
and when my therapist asked me how it made me feel to live like that, I was lost since nobody
asked me such a question before. What should I respond?
A. Tell her all my bottled-up feelings and how I wished I was not me.
B. “You only care because I give you money to do so.”

4. My friend came up to me and asked “ How much did I owe you for yesterday again? Thank
you for lending your money by the way.” I recall that I lent him php10 for snacks yesterday,

The class will be divided into 3 groups. The reporters will give each group an opening sentence and it's
up to them how to continue the story. Each person in the group will contribute one sentence to the story
Activity until it ends with the last person.
This activity promotes creativity and fast thinking skills which is required when using the consultative
style of communicating.
