IV. PROCEDURES
A. Reviewing previous lesson or The teacher will ask the students about their previous physical fitness activities when they
presenting the new lesson were in Grade 7 and will let the students demonstrate some examples.
B. Establishing a purpose for the lesson Picture Puzzle: The teacher will give an envelope in each group containing cut out
pictures of a person with different body types:

Each group will be given 1 minute to form the puzzle and afterwards the teacher will
ask the following questions :
 What kind of body do these person s have?
 What do you think are their lifestyle s ?
 Which of the following pictures shows the ideal body type?
C. Presenting examples/Instances of the Pop or Bluff:
new lesson The teacher will distribute Pop or Bluff sign in the class and ask the class about following
statements related to physical fitness Raise Pop if the statement is congruent to fitness
training and Raise Bluff if the statement is not an activity for fitness.
 Planking for 3 minutes.
 Eating at least 5 times a day
 Brisk walking for 15 minutes a day.
 Baby sitting
 Washing clothes
 Working for 12 straight hours
 Playing computer for 3 hours a day
 Scrubbing the floor every weekend for 15 minutes.
 Eating while watching the television
 Attending zumba at least 3x a week.
D. Discussing new concepts and practicing The teacher will discuss the Body Mass Index through a powerpoint presentation.

E. Discussing new concepts and practicing The teacher will give the students exercise on how to compute the Body Mass Index

Direction: Compute for the BMI and identify its classification
F. Developing mastery Group work:
The teacher will ask the student to get their height and weight by group and compute for
their own BMI by following the routine
G. Finding practical application of After taking the BMI and its classification, the teacher will ask the students about the
concepts and skills in daily living following question .

H. Making generalizations and abstractions The teacher will ask the learners the following questions:

 What is your BMI and your classification?

 What is the importance of having a normal BMI?
