ESSAY.

1. Developing and developed countries’ back bone of the identity of the respective countries was
because back then agriculture was still feasible due to the lack of development still in technology.
Because before the industrial revolution, greeneries and plants were still present even in
populated areas that’s why cultivation was possible, agriculture was developed because of the
past due to their countless studies, but now is on a smaller scale due to industrialization. The
Philippines is a good example of a country that’s economy can revolve around agriculture due to
it being a tropical country, the Philippines is said to be one of the top exporters of a few
agricultural products such as pineapple, mangoes etc. but lacks exporting power on one of its
supposed to be staple agriculture product, rice.
2. The agriculture sector’s main problem right now is the Rice importation and exportation which
due to hoarders of hundreds of cavans of rice, with the help of the infamous inflation, made the
prices of rice become more worse, it even got to the point that the government planned to impose
a price ceiling because the supply is getting out of control. PBBM had to volunteer himself is the
Secretary of Agriculture was either of the following: He probably does not have any official person
to count on and high-class agriculturists doesn’t want to work for the government or he wants to
resolve the issue himself, because of one of his campaign promises that a kilo of rice will be at 20
pesos during his term.
3. The 2020 pandemic’s magnitude was widely felt by the Filipino specifically in the agricultural
section since the PH is an agricultural country, the PH had trouble exporting and importing food
due to the restrictions, I suggest as a 4th year Econ major is to keep on supporting locally made
goods so that our importation will be much stronger than ever.
4. Our feasibility study can help in a way that the government can read and classify the problems
indicated in the study in order for them to come up with a proper plan which they will impose one
of the indicated but much more improved policies that the feasibility study suggests. Plus our
product which is pineapple can be a much more healthier substitute to sugar so that’s one of the
thing that our feasibility can do to help the shortage on food.
