3. Write a short persuasive paragraph on keeping safe during Covid- 19
pandemic.

What is Persuasive?
Persuasive is someone or something that is
likely to persuade you to do or believe a
particular thing.

Persuasive Text is a selection or passage


that contains one’s personal emotion, idea or
responses to an issue.
It provides one’s standpoint as to how
issues should be addressed and examined.
It mainly expresses exposition,
argumentation, discussion, review and
evaluation. Technically, expressing persuasion
may exist not only in texts but also in pictures.
In writing a persuasive text, the write-up
include:
a. A statement of position- the overview of
argumentation revealing one’s standpoint.
b. Argumentation- provides supporting
evidences relative to one’s standpoint.
c. Reinforcement of one’s standpoint-
provides the summary of one’s position based
on the point of argumentation.

Persuasive Text and its Grammatical Features

Verbs- express action or state of being.


- Determine the subject as to doer or receiver
of an action.
- Complete the thought of a sentence.

 Active Voice- the subject is the doer of
the action.
 Passive Voice- the subject is the
receiver of the action.

pronoun. It usually answer the questions:

 How many?
 Which one?
In adjective always remember the acronym
DOSASCOMP, in order for you to know the
Royal Order of Adjectives.

yesterday

different tasks and as a group you have to work
on it. After doing so, you have to present their
work. They have 3 minutes to do the activity
and 2 minutes will be allotted for each group to
