Mental Health Within the COVID-19 Pandemic

Before reading the article, I used to think that mental health wouldn’t be affected

much by the pandemic as I get to stay home. After reading the article I now think that it

is most likely to occur to people with an outgoing type of lifestyle. Before reading the

article, I used to think that we have full control of our own resilience. After reading the

article, I realized that there are so much more that could influence each individual’s

resilience and it can either be positive or negative. Before reading the article, I used to

think that resilient people ignore bad days, and it does not affect them. After reading the

article I now think that resilient people still experience very bad days and instead of

getting affected by it, these people fight it and doesn’t let it take over their daily life.

The three things that are still unclear to me are about the secondary mental

health effects of covid 19, the dynamic behavioral of a person and, the connection of

resilience to mental health.

The three questions that I want to ask about the reading are, the connection

between resilience and mental health illness. Wouldn’t the resilient people suffer more

from mental illness as they endure it instead of talking about it and working to fix it. How

huge is the impact of a very good community into the mental health of a person. And

lastly how huge is the impact of resilience to an average person’s mental health.
