Description ‘* The lamps are operated with accessories identical with those used for standard fluorescent lamps of the same rating. * The ultraviolet radiation is emitted by a fluorescent powder layer - on the inside of the tube - which converts the arc’s energy into tong-wave ultraviolet. * The tubular envelope consists of dark blue glass which transmits ultraviolet radiation but only the minimum amount of visible radiation, as the latter would interfere with luminescence. © The unique fluorescent coating, very efficient in generating long-wave UV-A radiation emits only limited traces of the harmful UV-B. Applications The lamps are used in a wide variety of applications.
