Culture of War
The culture of war among the Vikings is heavily

Viking children are exposed to adult tasks at an early age. They were
trained based on their disposition in society. Children were usually tasked
by their parents with indoor tasks, such as looking after the fireplace or
making food. They also spent time outdoors, where they helped with the
animals, worked hard in the fields, as well as gathering firewood, berries
and fruit in the woods.
Viking Women
According to records, women in the Viking society
enjoyed freedom compared to other women
elsewhere in the same period. They could own
properties like that of men, they could request a
divorce and gain dowries when the marriage ended.
Though they had relatively strong roles, they were
inferior to men in terms of political power.
Beer
Vikings were fond of drinking fermented beverages like beer
and mead on a regular basis. Beer and ale were an integral
part of the Viking society according to records.

Viking Drinking Horn


The tradition of the Viking drinking horn has been around for
more than 2,000 years. This tradition varied from culture to
culture from drinking vessel to an aid of ceremonial practices.

Viking Diet
Since Vikings were avid hunters, meat was an integral part of
the Viking diet. Regardless of their social classes Vikings ate
meat every day. Their meat consumption ranged from pork to
horse meat.
