based social media sites to stay connected with friends,
family, colleagues, customers, or clients. Social
networking can have a social purpose, a business purpose,
or both, through sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn,
and Instagram. Social networking is also a significant
base for marketers seeking to engage customers. Facebook

2.91 billion people using the platform on a monthly
basis, as of Dec. 31, 2021.

Digital
Footprint
Digital Footprint
A digital footprint – sometimes called a digital
shadow or an electronic footprint – refers to the
trail of data you leave when using the internet.
It includes websites you visit, emails you send,
and information you submit online. A digital
footprint can be used to track a person’s online
activities and devices. Internet users create
their digital footprint either actively or
passively.
Digital Footprint
Being aware of our digital footprints is
very important, because it has a lot to
do with privacy issues. Every time we
share, post, like or comment on social
media, we leave traces of these
activities in the servers we communicate
with most of the time, these activities
are saved there for a very long time.
