List of inactive volcanoes in the Philippines

1. Mount Alu is a volcano located on the eastern tip of island town of Lugus, in the province of Sulu in the
southernmost Philippines. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) classifies Mount
Alu as Inactive.(stratovolcano)

2.Mount Butung is an inactive volcano located in the Municipality of Quezon, Bukidnon Province in the island
of Mindanao, Philippines. The mountain is located at7°45′12″N 125°4′12″ECoordinates
3.Mount Kitanglad is an inactive volcano located in the Kitanglad Mountain Range in Bukidnon province on
Mindanao island. It is the fourth highest mountain in the Philippines and has an approximate height of 2,899
metres (9,511 ft).It is located between Malaybalay City and the municipalities of Lantapan, Impasugong,
Sumilao, and Libona. It is home to one of the Philippines' few remaining rainforests.(basaltic volcano)

4.Mount Balungao is an inactive volcano located in Pangasinan, Ilocos Region, on the island of Luzon in the
Philippines. Rising to a height of 382 metres (1,253 ft) ASL, it is located in the town of Balungao, about 5
kilometres from the town center. It is the main tourist attraction of the town, along with the Balungao Hot and
Cold Spring Resort nearby.Mount Balungao is listed as an inactive volcano by the Philippine Institute of

5.Mount Makiling (also spelled Maquiling) is an inactive stratovolcano located in the provinces of Laguna and
Batangas on the island of Luzon in the Philippines. The mountain rises to an elevation of 1,090 meters (3,580
ft) above mean sea level and is the highest feature of the Laguna Volcanic Field. The volcano has no recorded
historic eruption but volcanism is still evident through geothermal features like mud spring and hot springs.
South of the mountain is the Makiling–Banahaw Geothermal Plant. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and
Seismology (PHIVOLCS) classifies the volcano as "Inactive".
