Diponegoro War Drama Script

On January 5, 1808 during Daendels' occupation, a Dutch conflict occurred

with the Palace.

Daendles: "The construction of this road must be carried out immediately! From Anyer to Panamkan
must be carried out immediately! Don't want it, immediately open access to expedite the construction
of this road!"

The Palace: "You can't before we get approval, just choose another path"

Daendels: "But access to this route is what I want." Both sides insisted on defending it

Hamengkubuwono IV: "raising the throne my brother will expedite our bureaucratic system" Palace
Advisor: "How is it possible at such a young age, Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono Lima can lead our
kingdom"

In 1823 the Dutch resident Smissaert came

Smissaert: "I better temporarily replace the position of the Sri Sultan's younger brother, after he grows
up I will return him, that way the people's lives will be guaranteed"

Hamengkubuwono IV: Alright, but there is still hope from the palace that can lead, sadly the guardian is
from Pakualam, he is Diponegoro""

Smissaert: "How can it be like that, I have been kind enough to offer you a task as tough as this, but you
still refuse?"

Hamengkubuwono IV: "All right, if the aim is to make the people prosperous"

Smissaert's leadership made the people suffer. A son of Hamengkubuwono III, named Raden Mas
Ontowiryo or Prince Diponegoro, was dissatisfied with seeing the suffering of the people because of
Dutch cruelty and cunning, Prince Diponegoro began to oppose Dutch domination.

People: "How can we eat? Even standing up feels like it can't stand the pain, it's so cruel"

The Palace: "where else should we get money to pay compensation?"

The Palace "I don't know if our finances have reached bankruptcy"

The palace: "We have to look for siasar"

The Palace: "Let's just take advantage of Diponegoro, because we have many channels with fellow
aristocrats like him"

The Keraton came to Diponegoro's residence and asked to lend the Keraton some money to pay
compensation

Diponegoro: "Fine, I'll try, God willing, there will be a way"

Then Prince Diponegoro borrowed money from Captain Tiong Hoa. Smissaert succeeded in tricking the
two guardian sultans into agreeing to the compensation requested by Nahuys for the plantation in
Bedoyo, thus making Diponegoro break his ties with the palace.

Diponegoro really hated the Dutch treatment and domination of the archipelago, he saw his people
suffer

Prince Diponegoro: "why are you willing to cooperate with the Dutch by providing compensation for
land leases?"

Patih Danurejo: "With us giving this compensation, the Dutch are willing to take care of all of our land"

Ratu Ageng: What Patih Danurejo said is true, the Dutch are helping us"

Prince Diponegoro: "You shouldn't have anything to do with the Dutch. What you did made the people
suffer and the palace finances went bankrupt, because of this compensation.

Ratu Ageng "But this is also profitable for us!"

Prince Diponegoro: "Indeed, what are the benefits that you get from the Netherlands?"

Patih Danurejo: "There are so many, but we cannot mention one by one, what is clear is that we will
continue to cooperate with the Dutch."

After the conflict occurred, Prince Diponegoro finally cut off his relationship with the palace.

Finally Prince Diponegoro put up a fight by canceling the penja puwasa in May 1985 so that the farmers
in Tegal Rejo could buy weapons and food.

BEGINNING OF THE WAR

During the construction of the Anyer Panarukan road

Smissaert: "Ordered our men to install the stakes immediately

Patih Danu Rejo: "Okay, I'll do it right away, but have you received approval from Prince Diponegoro?
Because the installation of the stakes will pass through Prince Diponegoro's yard"

Smissaert: "Just let what you care about him, this is for the smooth running of development.

After Prince Diponegoro found out, he ordered the people to pull out the stakes. Then Parih Danu Rejo
came

Patih Danurejo: "Who told you to remove these pegs? Reassemble them properly!"

Patih Danurejo sent macanan troops to guard the stakes. With their bravery Prince Diponegoro's
followers pulled out the stakes and replaced them with spears as a signal to start a rebellion.

People: Sir, how are we going to take shelter for the time being?"

Prince Diponegoro: "Fight first until they run out, I will think about where we will take refuge".

The people: "But the situation is getting fiercer than the Dutch soldiers". After Prince Diponegoro
thought about it, he decided that his troops would take refuge towards the Selarung hill

Prince Diponegoro: "Let's build a fort in Selorong Cave im.

People: "Ready nian, we will do it for the sake of our struggle together."

Then Prince Diponegoro devised a war strategy to attack the Yogyakarta Palace by isolating the Dutch
troops.

As Leader, Prince Diponegoro was accompanied by Prince Mangkubumi Alibasyah Sentot, and Kyai Maja
as spiritual supervisor in this war. This war is increasingly melting almost over Java. Because of that the
Netherlands tried to increase its strength.

General De kock: "Strengthen our troops to fight Diponegoro Send Lieutenant Colonel Churens to Tegal
and Pekalongan and Lieutenant Colonel Diell to the Banyumas area"
One of the Dutch troops: "But we have to really strengthen the troops. What if we ask for help from our
troops in West Sumatra?"

General De Kock: "Just do it if it's for the best".

The Dutch destroyed the defense posts of the Diponegoro Pass. Then the Diponegoro Post from Goa
Selarong was moved to Deksa by the head of Lagiasyah Sentor. Alibasyah Sentot succeeded in defeating
the Dutch in the western region. And the Diponegoropum troops won
